Meetings are held at the West Yorkshire Police Training and Development Centre, Bishopgarth, Westfield Road, Wakefield WF1 3QZ.
From LEEDS (9 miles)
Take M1 and leave at J41 taking A650 to Wakefield. In 2½ miles, at end of dual carriageway (roundabout) turn right for City Centre keeping in left lane. At traffic lights keep left and in 0.4 mile turn left at the traffic lights onto Westfield Road. At the end of Westfield Road, turn left into College Grove Road. After about 100 metres turn left into the main car park (signed West Yorkshire Police). After finding a parking place, proceed between buildings on both sides and ascend the steps. Go forward with the bridge to the main admin block behind you, bear right and enter the theatre block A. The theatre is on your right.
From HUDDERSFIELD (14 miles) or DEWSBURY (6 miles)
Take the A642 or A638 into Wakefield. Follow main road through various traffic light controlled junctions towards A61 signed Leeds/Bradford (Northgate). Go straight ahead at roundabout (light controlled) past QEGS on the right and turn right at the traffic lights onto Westfield Road. Pedestrians may enter the Training Centre from Westfield Road from the entrance near Northgate.
From BRADFORD (13 miles)
Either M62 eastbound, then M1 southbound, leaving at J41 and travelling along A650 to Wakefield.
Or A650 along dual carriageway to junction with A61 at roundabout. Turn right for City Centre keeping in left lane. At traffic lights keep left and in 0.4 mile turn left at next traffic lights onto Westfield Road. At the end of Westfield Road, turn left into College Grove Road. After about 100 metres turn left into the main car park (signed West Yorkshire Police). After finding a parking place, proceed between buildings on both sides and ascend the steps. Go forward with the bridge to the main admin block behind you, bear right and enter the theatre block A. The theatre is on your right.
From PONTEFRACT (9 miles) or CASTLEFORD (8 miles)
Take the A638 into Wakefield; follow signs for A61 Leeds. After dual carriageway (Marsh Way) meet roundabout (light controlled). Turn right towards Leeds; travel past QEGS on the right and turn right at the traffic lights onto Westfield Road. At the end of Westfield Road, turn left into College Grove Road. After about 100 metres turn left into the main car park (signed West Yorkshire Police). After finding a parking place, proceed between buildings on both sides and ascend the steps. Go forward with the bridge to the main admin block behind you, bear right and enter the theatre block A. The theatre is on your right.
